Great job with the content, Chris, BUT it should be kept in the first OR third person. You’re bouncing between both on the home page. I would also remove the more personal content in the About paragraph, and keep it more business, and not so personal. Although this is extremely lengthy, it’s good for ideas: http://www.chrisbrogan.com/about/
I would also make his About a separate page, and mention what he does again, why he likes what he does, etc.
To get his site noticed, you need to have:
- good metadata and content in place (Carl might be able to help you with this, but you already seem to have it in place.)
- a Facebook Fanpage
- Twitter account
- list his business on Yelp.com, Insiderpages.com, and any other directory related to his line of work (search Google and be selective)
This should help get him started.
He should also add content to the photos explaining what he did, in as much detail as possible. Or he can maintain a blog with photos, and again, what he did for the client in detail. This will help maintain fresh content on his site, and help maintain placement in the search engines. Fresh, selective content is key. Keep in mind it can take between 3 and 6 months to be found in the search engines, so the extras above are key!
